Final Form - Battle Environments

Some previous iterations of the battleground environments for the unreleased project "Final Form". I was the 3D Art Supervisor and Lead Environment Artist for these. We inherited the scenes from an outsource studio, so a lot of what I did involved re-arranging existing assets to match updated concepts and to have stronger compositions with a more clear focal point, as well as setting up some first pass lighting to match the mood and colors of the concepts. I also did a fair amount of model cleanup, adjusting existing materials or making new materials as necessary, and scene optimization. Beyond that, we added additional assets to the scenes, some of which I did myself, but most of which were done by our asset artist Alexander Martin. I provided feedback and guidance on the new assets, in addition to supervising and providing feedback on the final lighting (Tony Alexander) and VFX (Mateo Gil Rios).

"House of Mortals" battleground. Responsible for layout/composition, asset & foliage placement, floating island model clean-up and retexture, and foreground terrain treatment

"House of Machines" battleground. Responsible for layout/composition, asset placement, first pass lighting, scene optimization, floor plate models, floor plate textures and materials, floor decals

"House of Beasts" battleground. Responsible for layout/composition, asset placement, material adjustments, first pass lighting, foreground terrain treatment, foreground glyph decals, and central structure model, textures and materials.

"House of Gods" battleground. Responsible for layout/composition, first pass lighting, asset placement, model and texture cleanup on side pillars, material adjustments, and central pillar model and materials.

"Ice Moon" battleground. Responsible for first pass layout/composition (final pass credit to Alexander Martin), scene clean-up/optimization, blood and snow decals, and cracked ice terrain substance designer texture and shadergraph shader.
